Asa and Mary's union was celebrated in New York, that's what I heard.

Into this mix of moving around we must factor inventions and travel.  Ships coming to the seaboard for some hundreds of years turned into people making way through tributaries.  Steam was being used to propel people faster and faster over land and water.

Must be how a Mac-Alpine made it all the way from Scotland into the lives of the Cande's.  Of course, the families may have known each other in the Old World.  The Cande themselves had made way to America from Europe too.  But by 18oo things were moving fast.
